Pixel Scores is made by one person. If something's broken or missing, email brad@bradmcgonigle.com and it'll reach me directly.
When reporting a bug, the most useful things to include are the league, the specific game or team, and roughly when you saw it — scores move, and a screen that was wrong an hour ago is often impossible to reconstruct later. A screenshot is worth more than any of that.
Common questions
Where do the scores come from?
Public sports data feeds — ESPN for the major leagues, college, soccer and golf, and OpenF1 for Formula 1. Pixel Scores is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them, nor by any league, team, or governing body.
A score looks wrong.
The app shows what the upstream feed reports. Live data occasionally lags or corrects itself, particularly right after a scoring play or a review. Pull down to refresh; if it's still wrong minutes later, that's worth an email.
My team has a plain badge instead of artwork.
Team artwork is drawn by hand, league by league, and isn't finished everywhere yet. Teams without it fall back to a badge in their own colors. Nothing is broken — that team just hasn't been drawn yet.
Notifications aren't arriving.
Check three things, in this order: alerts are enabled in the app's Settings; Pixel Scores is allowed to send notifications in iOS Settings → Notifications; and the team you expect alerts for is actually followed. Alerts only cover teams you follow and the event types you've turned on. If all three look right and you're still getting nothing, email me — that's a real bug.
How do I delete my data?
Turn alerts off in Settings and everything held on the server — your push token, followed teams, and alert preferences — is deleted immediately. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device. See the privacy policy for the full picture.
Is any of this tracked?
No. There is no analytics, no advertising, and no account. The privacy policy explains exactly what does and doesn't leave your device, and it's short.
Will there be an Android or web version?
Maybe, eventually. Nothing to announce.
